Students tend to have:
- higher test scores
- less disciplinary infractions
- positive towards schoolwork
- better student-teacher relationship
- better understanding of life after high school
One great example of this is Commodore John Rodger's Elementary/Middle School. This school was ranked in the bottom 5% of its county. The principal set forth a plan to help the students do better. His first step was the parents. He got 95% of the parents to actively participate with school-improvements. This school's reading and math scores went up 20%.
